Asexual people are raped in order to try to “fix” them.

Ace/aro people are subjected to therapy as “treatment” for their orientation.

Research has shown that asexuals experience high rates of discrimination and are the most dehumanized group among all orientations. 

So no, it’s not that they just have “felt the same emotions at some point” – asexual and aromantic people experience discrimination due to their orientation, are a marginalized orientation group, and deserve a place in the lgbtqiAp+ community.
