So, I’ve been trying to follow your Wu Xing thing, but I’m a little lost. Exactly which elements do you think go with which Miraculous? Sorry, I guess I’m just not getting this.

Most likely, these main five all have traces of the Five Elements to them; echoing off the earrings and ring have mixed traits of yin-yang to both of them, like, LB’s power is passive (yin), but for it to truly work, needs to be active and bold (yang). And Chat, who has the aggressive power (yang), his miraculous is used to full potential when he is inactive (yin), well, more specifically, when he’s not charging in recklessly. 

For the main 5 miraculouses, they all probably have traits of the five elements to them, allowing them to be used by anyone of any sort of elemental personality, but just need to be given to those who have traits that match (like fox is best to those who can be crafty, butterfly to those who push others forward, bee to those who can work in team, ect.). 

Despite this, it looks like they’re tied to a main element, especially by where they’re placed in the chest, it’s backed even more with LB more tied to yang (being the yang within yin, representing logic, dominance, light) and Chat tied to yin (yin within yang, representing intuition, passive, and darkness). 

Fox is Wood (the most yang of the elements), Bee is Fire, Turtle is Earth (the neutral, an even balance of yin and yang), Peacock is Metal, and Butterfly is Water (the most yin of the elements). On the chest, Fox and Bee are on the yang side, Butterfly and Peacock are on the yin, and Turtle has both yin and yang touching on it’s color. You can also see this order shown in the s2 opening. 

Yang, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Yin. 

Now, on Chinese Zodiac, these guys are tied to Wu Xing too. They connect on yin and yang sides of the elements, and with the seasons too (wood is spring, fire summer, metal fall, water winter, and earth is the phase in between seasons).
