hey, one millenial to another?

don’t just leave the gen z kids to clean up this mess. i know we’re all tired, i know we’re all exhausted, but we cannot sit back on our nihilistic laurels and leave them to do this alone.

it’s time to stand back up. it’s time to get back in there. it’s time to fight that fight, and fight it harder.

it’s time to be the adults we wish had stood with us.

Also adding on: all the stuff about millennials being tired seems to…. Imply that millennials haven’t been getting out there and being activists??

And that’s not true! Millennials were, are, and will continue to be activists. The whole “we’re so TIRED” thing smacks of privelege to me because like!! Yeah bitch we are!! Disabled people, people of color (especially black people), LGBT people, (without even bringing up people who are multiple of these things at once) they’ve all been tired since the beginning and like!! We still have to fight because if we don’t WE WILL DIE.

Like all this “we are tired but look at these kids” feels like it’s ready to sweep millennials to the side activism-wise when there’s SO many people getting up and out there for your asses, and yeah, those people are exhausted, but they’re still doing it because they don’t have a choice to NOT do it.

So like maybe stop acting like all millennials have given up due to burn out. Because they haven’t.
