Bear in mind that the reason Toys ‘R Us is crumbling (along with IHeartRadio, the largest Radio company in the U.S.) is because of companies like Bain Capital (which you may remember as the company that Mitt Romney founded then distanced himself from when he was running for President, because when you’re trying to tell people you’re a good person you don’t want to be associated with these vultures).
Bain bought Toys R’ Us and IHeartRadio using leveraged buyouts, meaning that Bain took huge loans (we’re talking billions of dollars) to buy the companies, then the debt (and interest) was something that the companies were expected to pay off. Neither company has made a profit any year since the Bain takeovers. Toys R’ Us was paying hundreds of dollars in interest alone every year. IHeartRadio might be next to fall, they just filed for bankruptcy.
There’s a class of people out there that do nothing but make money by abusing the system, leaving destruction and misery in their wake.
Music and toys, that’s what these guys hurt. They’re that cartoonishly evil.
