you don’t have to like him personally, but thomas sanders makes kid-friendly lgbt content, is a very consistent and active ally to women, trans people, neurodivergent people, and poc, and is overall a great role model for the kids who regularly watch his content. his whole Thing is spreading positivity and empathy, and teaching lessons in emotional maturity through his videos.

ppl started hating him once he vocalized his support for ace and aro people belonging to the lgbtqia community. they went even so far as to falsely labeling him as a pedophile.

That and blowing mistakes he acknowledged, apologized and made up for out of proportion.
People say his “sanders sides” videos are ableist and making fun of DID, but I actually have DID and watching them he doesn’t do that at all.
He has stated on, I think, multiple occasions that the sides are sides of his personality and honestly every human has slightly different selves (like u act different during work then around ur friends) and he is using the different facets of his “one” personality turning them into characters he already used before in his vines.
If you watch this Q&A about the sanders sides he explicitly states they’re not alters, not supposed to represent alters or relate to them in any way, that it is more a situation like in the movie “Inside Ou”t and he wants to make a video on DID to clarify this distinction even further.

It is in no way making fun of or degrading actual alters or people with DID.
