One thing I noticed

At your very VERY first save

Kris’s name is there

And our name overwrites it

Noelle even states that Kris isn’t acting like themselves

And when Kris sleeps we aren’t controlling them then…they break free from our control

Kris then hucks our offending SOUL (the player) into the birdcage

It’s us due to the fact that we are what causes them to come back to life everytime we are broken and what we see when we start the game

My conclusion is that we took control of another Chara-esque character and they were none too pleased with being used as a puppet
