You know what I don’t get?

Why Marinette doesn’t just play along with Lila’s lie.

Now hear me out because I can hear the protests boiling. We all know Lila is a crazy amazing liar and manipulator, a person who is so committed to her stories she would go the extra mile to actually find and purchase a piece of expensive jewelry to support her lie of being a Miraculous Holder. We can also see she can make up lies at the drop of a hat if anyone just so happens to see or try and poke holes in her story.

In my experience, you don’t fight these kind of people, you flow with them. Even a professional juggler can’t keep juggling if you throw too many items at him.

What Marinette should do is just pretend to go with the Lila then play on it. Keep asking Lila questions disguised as enthusiastic interest, PURPOSELY keep pushing her to keep stockpiling on lies, rapidly plugging up holes. At some point the lie will get so big even Lila’s gonna start feeling the pressure and then…

She will slip, and get careless.

The holes in her story are now too big to plug, the lies are too many to maintain! People are starting to doubt her and eventually… The pressure will break her! Destroying the sly little bitch to pieces!!!!

I hope something like this happens in the end of the episode.

Marinette (as Ladybug, who the class still thinks is best friends with Lila) tells everyone about how her best friend Lila told her that she was going to fake a hearing problem to sit next to the guy she had a crush on.

The class trusts Ladybug, and if Ladybug is Lila’s best friend why would she lie about it? Now Lila either has to admit she lied about being friends with Ladybug, or admit she faked her hearing problem
