to me, a person’s favourite white noise is really interesting fact about them. is it a hot tub, ocean waves, rain, a fan, a shower, a humidifier, highway traffic, a thunderstorm?
also tumblr drama is so much better because so rarely is it done for clicks like twitter and instagram are…. like tumblr drama is ALWAYS next level shit. this site does not fail to entertain. we got lesbians who cut off each others toes, people who fake their race for 2 YEARS only to get exposed to be white and have said multiple slurs under the guise they could reclaim them, the bone steal girl (bless her soul), 22 year olds who bully teenagers because they share the same kin…….. this site is so messy
ive said it once and ill say it again but if you live in like . california or another state where lgbt shit is decently accepted please be mindful of the fact that others have it worse than you. Indiana very recently tried to pass laws that allow for same sex couples to be banned from restaurants, in lots of states conversion therapy is still legal, and gay people are still beat for simply existing. think about that please

Yo, my life exploded and this time it is not my fault. 😢
I got pregnant (I planned it with the father who, almost instentaneously afterwards, became abusive) and moved back to Philadelphia after 12 years of living in Kentucky to be closer to family and reduce some stress. Well so much for that.
Here’s my little nugget:
I’m still pregnant, baby and I are fine. This baby is wanted and very much already loved.
However! My two cousins who I was living with are suddenly no longer able to live with me for reasons that are not my business to put on the internet.
I’m still in my family’s home (owned by family) but I am still presently without a steady, viable income. I’ve been very diligently looking for work since I moved back in April and all I’ve found so far are short term temp positions.
I’m currently studying to teach English (I plan to sign up for one of those imperialist work-at-home programs where you teach kids in China online or something similar) but my program is 150 hours, so I won’t be certified for a hot minute.
Anyway, I’m responsible for bills (gas, electric, water). I have to get around to interviews, state required volunteer work for TANF benefits and of course mental health & prenatal apppintments. My home is very old and the walls need to be treated for lead to make a safe environment for my little James Henry.
For now food stamps have my groceries covered! I’m on medicaid so my copays are free!
Additionally, come October, I’m going to have baby needs to pay for. I plan to breastfeed and pump, so at least I won’t have to pay for formula. When winter happens I’ll have to pay for oil heat to keep the house warm if my cousins still haven’t returned by then.
I need help.
If anyone wants to be an angel and gift my baby with a diaper service so he can wear cloth diapers (and professionals can clean them and take them away!) That would knock out one of my hugest future anxieties about being able to maintain for my baby’s needs.
Gift certificates to Philly Diaper Service would be an amazing help.
I have a baby registry up on amazon (and I’ve scheduled this post for after the strike/prime day is over) and that’s a way to help with baby needs. I would deeply appreciate getting stuff that isn’t fun, like infant detergent, wipes and cloth diapers because I’m getting some baby clothes from friends with boys.
And if you’re a more practical person, please consider gifting an amazon gift card or ca$h money to my PayPal. If my unemployment/my cousins being MIA lasts into September, I’ll build a gofundme or a youcaring to prep for baby and winter, but for now on short term emergency stuff, paypal is cool.
People, please be careful. There are also people tracking children and people and putting bids on them based on their profile pictures on whatsapp, tracking and kidnapping them. Especially young children, so please be cautious, especially parents who have their children as their profile pictures.

It used to be that a post could only be one thing. Maybe it was a photo post or a video post or a quote. But no matter how much a photo post also wanted to be a chat, or a chat wanted to be a song, a post could never be more than it was born to be.
That’s all changed!
Now a post can be anything you want it to be (or whatever it was meant to be).

so you’re saying you just screwed over mobile users by no longer allowing them to post photosets, quotes, chats, etc, and by default everything is made into a text post, which means the /archive will no longer work to when it comes to separating text posts, photo posts, etc, AND you’re planning on bringing this crappy this to DESKTOP TOO???? which means all the beautiful photosets and gifsets that people have made for years will no longer be able to be made??? hard pass, we hate this
edit: since some of y’all seem to want to argue with this, the whole point is that WE DON’T WANT EVERYTHING TO DEFAULT INTO A TEXT POST. not that posting photos from mobile is a bad thing. in fact, being able to add multiple photos is a good thing. however, this mobile update has STOPPED OUR ABILITY TO MAKE SOLELY POST TYPE-SPECIFIC POSTS (photo posts, quote posts, video posts) AND TURNED THEM ALL INTO TEXT POSTS, thereby rendering “separate by post type” absolutely useless. frankensteining posts is great, but they will ALL BE TEXT POSTS, as far as this update has allowed us so far. for content-creators like me, this update sucks.
IF YOU TRY TO REBLOG A POST WITH PHOTOS THAT WAS MADE ON MOBILE, it will automatically reblog it AS A TEXT POST. in addition, it will also force all of the photos into a straight line, instead of the way the OP intended the photos to look. EXAMPLE IN THIS POST. it’s ugly.
Just adding to say that this a terrible fucking idea tumblr and I don’t want them to think that I’m reblogging this because I think it’s a good idea. :~)
