Did everyone just…. forget how to create, all of a sudden? Disney pumping out the fourth remake in a row? Movies are like 70% sequels? Stories in games being just bad if they exist at all? Haven’t had a book get hyped in like half a decade? Are we okay? What’s going on?

all creators are poor and being exploited

As someone in entertainment…. i see no lie here

There is also some who believe this might be related to how fucked over the public domain has gotten

psa to folks getting a switch (or already have one):

the switch is not a usb c device. it just has a port shaped like usb-c. if you use anything other than nintendo cables and switch-specific accessories to charge or dock it, you might fry the system. using a super fast usb-c to usb-c charger, for example, will potentially fry your system. your usb-c phone chargers are not necessarily compatible with the switch.

Reasons to be excited for Detective Pikachu

padparadsweet:

– Stars Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu
– Has a lead black actor, as well as many side characters being non-white
– The person who played Dopinder alongside Deadpool is back as a character named Jack, so expect references to that
– we get to see some adorable and creepy realistic Pokemon
– No way is this gonna turn out to be just okay- expect either amazingly good or hilariously bad
– It’s Pokemon

– Greninja appeared and is from Gen 6 so expect literally any Pokemon

“Remember how Steven was hinted to feel like he doesn’t belong/isn’t human and then how the show did absolutely nothing with that?”

Me, looking at the arc ahead of us about Steven literally going to another planet made of gems who don’t know him, a society strange to his own, and with a family he literally doesn’t feel like he’s apart of, thinking how this easily could play into being about the pains of dual citizenship/ethnicity and feeling like you don’t belong in either group in the future: no

Pokémon Generation 8

Speaking to Japanese publication Famitsu, which has a massive 20 page
feature on Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu, Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee and Quest, features
an interview with The Pokémon Company CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara who
provided some information about the upcoming Pokémon game for
Nintendo Switch. Tsunekazu Ishihara  reconfirmed that this game is due
for release in the second half of 2019, will have better graphics than
any prior Pokémon game, that it’ll be completely new aimed at
experienced fans, not like Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Let’s Go Eevee
and states that it will contain many brand new Pokémon!

I don’t know if this is weird or not, but I totes read Mulan as a trans woman! I tend to read all “women who pretend to be men” stories as very similar to my experience. In contrast, I’ve never imagined that a character presented to the audience as male was actually a trans woman.

Is my way much rarer?

In any event, I think we can all love Mulan!

Dragon age is coming back so you know what that means. Logging into your dash each day and seeing callouts because someone sided with the magical wizard rumpus club over the warlock circlejerk in their playthrough. Getting messages calling you problematic for following someone who has mixed feelings about the gnome independence movement. Seeing paragraphs upon paragraphs about how slorpity porpity the esteemed magical elf was actually justified in signing the pixie exclusion act. Get ready.

Now, now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves; by the time Dragon Age 4 gets released, Tumblr might not even exist anymore

Therese Patricia Okoumou. Patriot.

UPDATE December 6,2018 @odinsblog

It is a very rare thing for me to disagree so hard with a progressive Black woman, but Therese Patricia Okoumou IS a hero. And she certainly did not let anyone down. Fighting for young children who were being caged and separated from their parents is never ever the wrong thing to do. What she did—resisting Trump and publicly speaking truth to power—required great courage. Okoumou is a hero and an activist. A social justice warrior in the truest sense of the word.

After repeatedly reaching out to the mainstream media and asking them to continue covering her story, she is being ignored by them now. But remember: they were happy to use her when she was the hot story and good for ratings. Now they apparently cannot be bothered to interview her, or call out the injustice of her impending imprisonment. (#WhiteFeminism)

If anyone knows of any lawyer or anyone who might be able to help Therese Patricia Okoumou with her appeals process, please reach out to her on her Twitter account.
