That’s not what happened, this literally made international headlines. This is a purely adorable story. 

  • Brianne Dow (the woman in the photo) hired a photographer Samantha Boos for a couples’ photoshoot shortly after learning she was expecting. This was in 2016, and she told her husband Brandon that it was an anniversary thing.
  • The photographer, Samantha Boos, told Brandon Dow, 26, to write three words on a chalkboard that described Brianne, and that Brianne would do the exact same thing, and then they would turn around and reveal.
  • Brandon wrote the first words he thought of when he thought of his wife. Brianne wrote the baby news, and that lead to the most adorable moment ever.

They got congratulations from everyone in their lives, even their local bank sent them a lovely note:

I’m from Orange County, California, originally. One of the reddest counties in the US, sitting smack in the middle of one of the bluest states.

This past election, despite fucktrumpet getting the win, it was the first time OC had voted blue since FDR.

I still have a copy of the t*rget team lead guide to dealing with union activity that I nicked from the office when I worked there, it’s mostly the same stuff but it also revealed just how much of their management tactics were intended to frustrate any unionizing activity. For instance, they said that cross-training in multiple departments was the best way to get reliable hours, and encouraged everyone to do it; according to the manual, however, it was their way of keeping departments mixed up and jumbled, making it impossible for any single department to unionize (and forcing anyone who wanted to unionize to get the entire store to do it).

And that’s just part what the store managers are taught. Throughout, it mentions holding off on action and consulting a labor relations officer in the company on how to proceed. Who knows what kind of shady shit the people a step above do?

It has historically been extremely hard for retail and fast food employees to unionize specifically because the owners and managers keep us scared, disorganized, and are happy to fire us for unionizing, labor laws be damned. Their entire business model hinges on us being overworked and underpaid. Contact a union for help organizing in your store.

I hate this but here I am again…

Last time I was in need of help with graduation and a broken AC during 105° weather, this time it’s really important.

I’ve been suffering from some chronic health issues over the past years and they went from steadily getting worse to quickly getting worse.

I’ve been experiencing nerve problems, starting with the occasional numbness. Along with the numbness, there’s a more frequent, intense pain with it, causing me to have issues walking some days, and it’s impacting my daily life more and more as time goes on. I’ve been struggling with these pains interrupting my personal life, my work life, and my hobbies.

On top of that, I’ve had rapidly growing memory loss problems that are much MUCH more frustrating. I feel at such a loss, it’s upsetting everyone around me and I’m so spacey, so forgetful, so confused just ALL THE TIME. I can’t remember things I’ve remembered for years, I can’t remember what I ate yesterday. I remember all the things and I remember nothing. This, I think, is interfering with my jobs even moreso than the pains. I keep trying to push on when I’m hurting, maybe I can sit down when it hurts to walk, maybe I can handle other things when I can’t deal with money, but when I can’t remember what I need to remember I can’t.. do anything.

I’ve been working with multiple doctors for months now, being poked and prodded for fibromyalgia testing, the possibilities of lupus and MS, but nothing has really come from it. My doctors are at a loss so they’ve all agreed and have ordered me an MRI, EEG, and various other testings. The only problem is that these appointments are going to amount up to $1,000.

I was supposed to be going Monday, Sept 24th, for the MRI but we’ve had to reschedule it and are back on the waiting list because we weren’t told about the cost until this weekend. Our insurance isn’t able to cover much of this at all and we’re required to pay $400 up front and it’s just been really overwhelming.

We don’t know what to do, I don’t know what’s going on, I’m hurting, I can’t remember anything, I can’t fully function and it’s inconveniencing everyone around me, and I’m tired.

I just want this to end and I just want to know what’s going on.
