she tells Miguel that he has the spirit of an artist, and I feel like she’d be able to tell a real artist from a fake like Ernesto.
Plus she seemed annoyed that Ernesto didn’t come to rehearsals, and then there’s the fact she helped the entire Rivera family sneak into the Sunrise Spectacular and wished Miguel luck – luck with what? My guess is he told her the truth about Ernesto and she was like ‘big flippin surprise muchacho now you have my blessing to go wreck him’
