it’s upsetting to see that the same girl who was new to the school, who knew no one, who still decided to stand up the for girl getting bullied by another has gone down to invalidating her best friend’s (the same girl she stood up for) feelings of anger and frustration and reducing it to “crush jealousy”
I actually love this shit when girls like Kagami or Chloe realize something like “Omg, he actually doesnt deserve her at all” and their next plan is to win Marinette’s heart and to give her all what she deserves.
Adrien: Wow, this Hadrien looks like an oblivious idiot. How he didnt notice she loves him?
Marinette: HahHAHAH yeAH *sweats*
Nath: Actually, our idea is that they are both in love with each other, but they dont know about each other’s feeling and dont suspect a thing, so they are both the most oblivious idiots you could have ever met lol

Overcome from her friend’s abandonment, Marinette becomes Little Devil, an akuma who’s tiny minions tell you every bad thing you or anyone has ever thought about you until you’re so overcome with grief you become an aggressive demon.
What exactly was the ‘lesson’ supposed to be in Chameleon? What was Adrien’s point?
Evil doesn’t change by being called out and shamed so why do it at all? The high road is letting it play out unchallenged?
I have so many feelings about that. Current political climate notwithstanding, wasn’t the whole message of Origins that the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing?
Now Marinette isn’t usually underhanded or cruel. She isn’t the type of girl to bully someone else or publicly humiliate them if it can be avoided.
Well, she wasn’t until Lila started her little scheme. She wasn’t until most of the class had started to turn against her. She was sweet and liked Adrien’s idea as she had been digging her own grave. But the only way to deal with a Lila is to out them. Do what she does but better by using personal resourcefulness and something that can’t be turned against her. Something that appears nice on the surface but really isn’t.
Lila’s birthday is coming up or anniversary of first time they all met. They start talking about a party to celebrate the occasion. A surprise party. And Marinette instantly has her idea. Bustier has offered the classroom so Lila won’t be suspicious of being led somewhere. Nino is offering music. Alix and Nathaniel decorations.
Then there’s Marinette. The girl who does not get along with Lila. Some people want her to miss the class as to avoid stress to Lila but Marinette has a better idea. A much better idea.
As it’s such an important celebration Marinette thinks it’s time the hatchet is buried. She’s class president and the whole thing has been going on for too long. The tension really does not benefit anyone. Provided everyone can keep it a secret, she’ll provide the entertainment. She knows Penny and Jagged through the album, the glasses, and that show at her house. They owe her a favour and she has a direct line to them. Considering how close Lila is to Jagged with him writing songs about her and her saving his cat wouldn’t that be just perfect for him to perform? A perfect way to apologise for everything. Everyone’s best friend and heroic classmate really deserves a top selling rock star for such an event. Lila did say they were close.
Everyone adores the idea. Adrien, because he smart, is a bit suspicious but it seems nice enough. So they continue planning. Chloe will drive Lila to school that day to ensure she comes. Nino will start music when Jagged leaves. Rose makes sure the school approves of it.
Then it all goes according to plan. Lila sees Jagged and goes pale. He looks at her “who’s this girl? Penny, I thought you said I knew someone in this class? What is the meaning of this?”
“Jagged, this is Lila. She saved your cat a while ago. We are celebrating her birthday, and we have a bit of a rivalry I thought bringing you – the rockstar she is so close with – would help bury an animosity. A proper way to honour her.” Marinette replies using the innocent eyes Lila usually weaponised.
“I’ve never had a cat. Fangs is the only pet for me.” Jagged responds as his crocodile snaps at the liar.
“Ah, um, don’t you remember before fangs? The cat?” Lila tries desperately to lead Jagged into her lies while trying not to die but crocodile
“I’ve had fang since I was a kid,” Jagged simply responds. “Who are you?”
“Marinette,” Penny starts and the girl worries she’s about to be blamed or her planned revealed. “I’m sorry, but I don’t know who this girl is. I don’t blame you for this.”
“No, I should have been clearer when I contacted you. I apologise for wasting your time, but I always love seeing you.” Marinette smiles with a deep bow. Penny hugs her. The class is shocked.
Lila is struggling. She can still get out of this. She can say it was just one lie. That she was confused or had been told the wrong information. Say Marinette set her up. She could still win.
Then the skype bells ring on the class projector.
“Haha,” Awkwardly laughs Marinette. “As this was such an important occasion and I was trying to apologise for the past I also used some old favours and contacts to get Rose to ring Prince Ali. I mean, after all your time together surely you miss him? Surely, your birthday is a time for all your friends to celebrate together”
As the prince says hi to Rose but ignores Lila the class start glaring. Adrien and Alya at Marinette because they know she planned this, they know she was hurt and this was her revenge. The others are glaring at Lila. Angry she lied and upset they believed her.
Lila races out of the room, tears pouring from her eyes. Marinette calls back to the classroom “this is my fault! I better go apologise!” as she races after Lila.
She finds the girl in the locker room punching a wall while tears flow from her eyes. A butterfly appears in the room. Marinette traps it in a mason jar.
“I told you liars don’t win. Don’t think going getting yourself akumatised for the third time will happen. Don’t think hawkmoth will get you out of this. Don’t think for even a second you can hurt my friends by becoming an akuma. You do not get to be rewarded for this. You do not get to win. You do not get to play the victim.” Marinette states harshly placing the jar down and walking forward. Her voice softens “I know you think I’m a fool and you have tried to trick me before. But if you make an effort to be honest, if you let Adrien and I help, we can fix this. You can go back to having attention. Back to having friends. Back to being loved. Provided you are honest and try. If Chloe can be better so can you.”
(this is never going to happen and people can write this a million times better than I could, but it was just an idea I had.)
