Marinette: “So you’re asking me to just sit back and let Lila deceive our entire class? Lila’s not going to stop lying if we just keep letting her get away with it.”
Adrien: “Probably not, but if you go over there right now and point out that it was Lila’s other ear, she’ll just cover it with another lie, and will probably try to make you look bad again.”
Marinette: “… she did say that she’d get the entire class to hate me.”
Adrien: “She can try, but it won’t work on me. Besides, it’s hard for someone to keep just one lie going for a period of time. Imagine Lila trying to keep head and tail of all her stories from the time school begins until it ends. She’ll either learn to be honest, crack from the pressure, or slip up so badly that everyone will notice. We’re not letting her get away with this; we’re letting her decide whether to dig her own grave, and how deep she wants it to be.”
